the second half blew it so let's skip that one for now

The coffee must be cold by now, she thought and gave a fast glance at the cup with its worn edge. She took the first of the last three remaining gulps in the cup and gave a quick thought about how many people who must have been drinking from the exact same cup and who might have been the first one to empty the cup from black coffee that gotten a bit too cold. Then she turned her attention back to the scene outside the window and the people passing by. Outside she met the windy Octoberday, couples holding on to each other like if they thought they would blow away if they didn’t, leaves dancing around moving feet and making pirouettes up around the children running right behind their mum pushing the stroller, feeling guilty of her wishes to have more time to herself and maybe once in a while let someone else take care of the kids and the business men always in the middle of a phonecall and in a hurry to the next meeting starting in ten or rather five minutes. But these people weren’t in her interest. At least not anymore. She was hoping to see him. The man who once had meant so much for her and never left either her heart or her head. She thought that maybe today he would pass by and see her. Maybe today he would join her. Maybe today he would drink coffee with her and make up stories about the people passing by the window and laugh.
